Vitamin D makes women 45% stronger in just months

If you’re like a lot of women suffering through menopause, you wake up most days feeling like a train wreck.

Menopause can sap all the energy and strength right out of you — and every passing year it seems to get a little worse, right?

But now South American researchers are claiming that a single vitamin is all it takes to give you a massive 45 per cent boost of strength.

It takes just months for it to work — and you won’t have to break the bank to get your hands on it.

Researchers from the University of Brazil just wrapped up a remarkable study on 160 women, all between the ages of 50 and 65.

Half the women were given 1,000 IUs of vitamin D3 daily, while the other half were given a placebo. The researchers chose to use D3 because it’s absorbed more easily in the body than other forms of vitamin D.

By the end of the nine-month study, the women taking vitamin D3 had increased their muscle strength by a whopping 45 per cent and showed absolutely no loss of muscle mass.

What about the poor ladies who didn’t get D3? They were actually 23 per cent weaker and had lost nearly 7 per cent of their muscle mass by the end of the study.

Previously, I told you how important vitamin D is in helping you build and maintain strong muscles. But it also can fight cancer, slow diabetes and even ward off dementia and depression.

As you know, your body naturally makes vitamin D from sunlight. But with the colder months coming, it’s going to be tough to get all you need.

I recommend my patients follow a daily supplement regimen of around 2,000 IU of vitamin D a day in summer and 4,000 IU in winter.

Wishing you the best of health,
