Let’s face it, gentlemen – none of us are as young, strong, and energetic as we used to be. That’s because as Father Time comes knocking on our doors, our testosterone levels plummet slowly but surely.
And when this happens, we experience lots of the physical symptoms, like hair loss, weakness, or even trouble performing in the bedroom.
But those low T-levels can also send your heart disease risk through the roof. And a new study shows how supplementing with this manly hormone may actually save your life.
Researchers followed 755 men between the ages of 58 and 78 with severe coronary artery disease who were treated with either intravenous testosterone or testosterone gel. A third group was given a placebo.
In the end, the placebo group had an 80 PER CENT higher chance of suffering a cardiac event, such as a heart attack, than those supplementing their testosterone.
And the guys who got the highest doses of the hormone were the least likely to have heart problems.
Now, I understand this may be the opposite of what you’ve heard from the mainstream. Some doctors still argue that supplementing with testosterone can increase your heart risk, even though that was completely debunked in a study two years ago.
And let’s be honest: If testosterone levels really caused heart attacks, you’d see a bunch of teenage boys and 20 year-old men dropping like flies.
That’s because T-levels peak at age 20, and then they begin their very gradual decline.
For men who are middle aged and up, it’s always a good idea to get your testosterone levels checked – because low-T has ALSO been linked to diabetes, obesity, and high blood pressure.
If you and your doctor decide to try supplementing testosterone, make sure it’s the bioidentical kind – because it’s the closest thing to what your body would produce on its own, it’s safer and works better than the synthetic versions.Wishing you the best of health,
