Fatigue, weight gain and loss of libido are fairly common side effects that accompany antidepressant drugs. If you are taking an antidepressant drug and you’re experiencing any of these side effects I encourage you to discuss your experience with your doctor right away. You shouldn’t have to surrender your energy levels and sexual appetite in order to conquer your depression.
Fortunately, when it comes to battling depression and overcoming the sexual side effects of antidepressant drugs, we might be able to kill two birds with one stone.
Saffron is a powerful and effective spice that has been shown in recent research to help men overcome the sexual dysfunction that could be caused by Prozac.
In one randomized, double blind, placebo-controlled study, 36 men suffering from sexual impairment caused by Prozac were given either 15 mg of saffron twice a day, or a placebo. At the end of just four weeks, 60 per cent of the saffron group achieved normal erectile function, and they were also enjoying greater sexual satisfaction.
Saffron just may help relieve some of your symptoms of depression, too. Several clinical trials have shown that the spice may be just as effective as common antidepressants in treating depression. Saffron is easy to find online and in health food stores, and I suspect it’s worth a try. It just may give a jumpstart to your libido and have you feeling like yourself again in no time.Wishing you the best of health,
