Lack of sleep linked to Alzheimer’s and stroke

Not too long ago, I told you how researchers had discovered that a lack of sleep can actually lead to Alzheimer’s plaques forming in your brain.

That’s because your body has something called the “glymphatic system” that clears these toxins and plaques out of your brain as you sleep.

But it looks like the bad news about sleep and brain health doesn’t end there.

Researchers from the University of Toronto recently looked at the brains of hundreds of seniors and found that those who got the worst sleep were 27 per cent more likely to have suffered a stroke.

Worse still, there was clear evidence that their brains had been deprived of oxygen. Some of these people were waking up seven times or more an hour. That’s no way to live.

If you’ve been struggling with sleep problems for years, I hope I can finally start to end that for you today.

Here are two proven supplements that can make a real and lasting difference in the quality of your sleep:

  • 5-HTP: This is a key amino acid that helps regulate your brain’s serotonin levels. Research has found that it can give you more of the deep sleep that’s important for brain health.
  • Chamomile: This herbal remedy has been used around the world for centuries to promote relaxation. You can buy it as a supplement or brew it as a tea.

Sleep is something you should never take for granted. And if you have trouble catching your 40 winks at night, it’s time to do something about it.

Give these supplements a shot, and see if they can get you drifting off to dreamland.

You won’t just end up feeling more rested and energetic – your brain will be healthier, too.

Wishing you the best of health,
